It doesn't matter what kind of 'example' it sets. I don't wear a helmet on my motorcycle, but I can guarantee you that my kid will. Adults should have the right of choice, but kids do not. That's why they have parents or guardians. In your case, choice has no bearing since it's Law. Ohio Statute

YES NOT USING A HELMET IS A SERIOUSLY BAD EXAMPLE, AND SPARE ME ALL THE PERSONAL FREEDOM OF CHOICE JAZZ, ITS JUST STUPID NOT TO WEAR ONE!
