i bought a harley off my girlfriends cousin a few months ago. ive been with my girl for 20 years. she has now said she wants to break up. so here i am packing my things and i find that my title to my harley is gone missing. she says she dont know where it is. so today i went and got a duplicate title no problem. but my harley is in her cousins garage cause it needed a starter repair. i have been calling her cousin so i could go get my harley from his garage but his number has been disconnected. and when go over his house to get my bike , his roomate tells me that my ex"s cousin is saying he is keeping my bike and he has the old title. so what do i do now?

Hopefully you got a bill of sale. If you have one, call the police and they can help you retrieve your bike.
call the cops or break in
But of course.
If the new title is in your name, call the cops. If it is still in his name you are going to end up in small claims, and I hope you have something in writing.
You have a title in your name. It is registered in your name.
Dude, go get YOUR bike!!!
The title that is in his name will have an issue date before the one you have with your name on it. Being as your title is the last one with a later date this renders his title null and void.
Your best bet to avoid any problems causing a disturbance of any kind is to contact the local police and explain this to them. Have your title for proof and ask them for an escort to the garage so you can pick up your bike without any problems. Police are generally happy to do so as it saves them from making an emergency call. Also you being the one to contact them kind of shows the police you are in the right and will most likely be on your side.
report it stolen, go with an officer, and a trailer to retrieve it…
simple as that
contact cousin tell him you will report bike as stolen if he doesn’t give it to you.
Then do it immediately before he harms the bike
The title is in your name so you should be safe. I’d call the police and tell them the situation. My guess is if the bike is there, they’ll run the plates or PIN and see it’s yours and tell the guy to give it up or go to jail for theft. You got a title with your name, so your safe. Go there and ask for it, if they say no, call the police. Don’t play around.
call the police before anything. they can t do anything whit the old title just get the police and go get the bike.simple
Go to the cops and tell them the guy stole your bike. You have the owners card in your name, right? Besides the DMV in your state will have it in your name along with VIN numbers and etc. Show the cops where its at. If the tittle is in your name it ain’t doing the cousin a bit of good.
Title is in your name its your bike . Stand at the end of Driveway and call police ,If the cousin wants to be an a$$ then you can claim its stolen and he goes to jail for grand theft .If he damages the bike then you can have a new bike put together becausehe vadaliized it ,Dam if they are being that big of dicks about it. I would claim bike ran great when you dropped it off and now he has damaged it . Best thing is take police with you to retreive your Harley
Go to the police, show them the duplicate title showing that the bike is yours and have them go with you to retieve it. The longer you wait, the better the chance they will get rid of your bike with no evidence they ever had it.
Don’t know why you didn’t do this right away.
call the cops , and get him arrested!!
20 years, huh?
Good luck to you, hope to see you out on the road on YOUR bike! But I won’t hold my breath.
call the cops if you have a bill of sale and the title is in your name and of if you have any witnesses that would be in your favor to say they witnessed the sale and if he has the old title and it was in your possession and your xgirl friend took it you can get her for stealing good luck then you can ask her how do you like me now
CALL THE POLICE!!!!!
